August 2017:

Summer is nearly over in Minneapolis, and its been a busy one.  I was married in June (which explains the new name -- Christine Wade) and a honeymoon in Europe.  I came back to vocal directing Anything Goes for The Play's the Thing Productions, will soon be performing at the Minnesota State Fair, and will start rehearsals in September for Theatre Elision's production of Goblin Market where I will play Laura.  Immediately following Goblin Market I will play the role of Rose in Ghost Quartet, also for Theatre Elision.

May 2017:

Just finished a very busy spring, with vocal directing and performing in the world premiere musical, Ragtime Women, for Theatre Elision, performing in another world premiere musical, Unsung, for Sidekick Theater, and vocal directing Sister Act for The Play's the Thing Productions.  I continue to teach voice through my online studio, as well as seeing students locally in Minneapolis-St. Paul.  I am really looking forward to continuing my work as part of the creative team behind Theatre Elision where I will be vocal directing several of the shows in their 2017-2018 season!

"In particular, Christine Polich is a standout as the plucky Julia, with a really terrific voice, great vocal control, and a natural charm and presence."  Review of Ragtime Women by Cherry and Spoon - May 13, 2017

"Christine Polich leads the action through the story as determined ingenue Julia Niebergall, who is inspired to get in the ragtime business after seeing Cora perform and grows by leaps and bounds throughout the show. Polich has a witty charm that is reminiscent almost of an Anne of Green Gables, and she fits her role excellently. "  Review of Ragtime Women by Compendium - May 9, 2017

September 2016:

Marvelous Wonderettes has closed after fabulous runs in Minneapolis and Wisconsin.

My vocal directing work has continued, with a youth production of Peter Pan and for the Valley Fair Halloween shows.  Teaching through my online voice studio has been great fun, and I have added acting coaching and audition preparation to the work.  I am so pleased to also announce that I received my NATS certification (National Association of the Teachers of Singing) and am looking forward to attending their seminars and encouraging my students to participate in their competitions.  Last, but not least, I will be starting rehearsals soon for a holiday production of the Elves and the Shoemaker.

March 2016:

Happy to announce that I will be starting rehearsals this month as Missy in the Marvelous Wonderettes for Sidekick Theatre.  We will be performing the show both in Minneapolis starting in mid-April, and again in Washburn, Wisconsin at the beginning of August.  I have also been busy vocal directing local community theatre productions of Little Mermaid Jr. and the Producers, as well as with my online voice studio.  It is amazing to work with fabulous students and see them grow as singers!

October 2015:

It has been a very busy fall for me!  My online voice studio continues to grow with students across the globe, including Israel and Wales.  It is so exciting to work with my students and see them improve and achieve their goals.  I took on a new challenge which I am really enjoying -- music director for a local production of Jekyll & Hyde.  We open at the end of October and it has been incredible to work with our wonderful cast.  At the same time I have been performing as a singer/dancer at a local amusement park for their weekend Halloween show “Haunted Homecoming”.  It has been fun to be made up as a high school homecoming queen zombie, and sing great songs from the 50s through 80s.  Needless to say, I am working hard but loving every minute of it.

Little Shop Brings in Big Talent

As Seymour's love interest and “girl with a past” Audrey, Christine Polich is all platinum blonde, Brooklyn accent and charm. Her blonde isn't dumb; she simply has a childlike innocence that is touching, as she dreams of living “somewhere nice, like Levittown.”

Bayfield County Journal, August 1, 2015

April 2015:

Well, it looks like I'll be going Somewhere That's Green this summer!  I'm so thrilled to be playing Audrey in Sidekick Theatre's production of Little Shop of Horrors!   The show will run July 22-August 9 at StageNorth in Washburn, Wisconsin.  This show is a personal favorite of mine, so I can't wait to jump into rehearsals in July!   My online voice studio has also grown.  I am now teaching students from all corners of the US and the world, having recently added a new student from Australia!

February 2015:

Lots of new things on the horizon these days!  I've signed with Arquette and Associates, an on-camera agency.  I am so excited to be working with them.  I've also been offered a role as a Spotlight Evaluator for Hennepin Theatre Trust, where I am able to help aspiring high school artists in their performance journeys!  In other teaching news, I’ve begun giving voice lessons for All Things Musik here in town, and am also teaching via Skype--for students as far away as Russia!  And finally, I've accepted a role in “Ole's Last Bow”, a world premiere musical and vaudeville comedy about Ole Ivarsson's life and adventures!  We will be performing at several venues throughout the Twin Cities in May.  It's been a busy few months, and I'm so thrilled for all the opportunities!

November 2014:

I'm back on land, and have landed in Minnesota!  I'm looking forward to seeing what the Twin Cities has to offer, and enjoying time back on land after my long adventure at sea!

October, 2013:

Just signed on as a Lead Vocalist for Celebrity Cruises performing in three production shows on their ship "Equinox". Rehearsals begin shortly and I will board ship in Barcelona in mid-November. We will sail the Mediterrean and Caribbean, including two trans-Atlantic crossings. Couldn't be more excited to entertain up to 50,000 people on over 20 cruises!

May, 2013:

Rehearsals begin tomorrow at Hersheypark for Michael Windish Production's summer resident shows "Piano Duel" and "Piano Express".  The show opens at the Music Box Theatre at the end of May and runs through August celebrating the songs of some of the greatest singer/songwriters from the '50s to present.

November 18, 2012:

Closing show for "9 to 5".  Many thanks to cast and crew for a wonderful experience.  And to family and friends who made the trek to Illinois to see the production (multiple times!)
